Welcome
Objective
To give students an understanding of the major business and
related components of sport, and specifically how funds are raised, managed
and circulated within the industry. The key economic drivers of each
component will be explored, with a particular focus on how pricing is
estimated or calculated.
Outline
The module will cover all the key aspects of the Business of Sport within a
modern setting. These include amongst others: Broadcasting, Sponsorship,
Media, Public relations, Event management, Sport tourism and Fundraising.
