Topic: Detection of Malicious Software
SPEAKER
Prof Brunnstein is the current President of IFIP, the International Federation
for Information Processing. He is
professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Hamburg in
Germany, and coordinates a small
expert group, CARO, which works on the detection of new malicious software. The
group works mostly in the IT
industry, with the University of Hamburg being the only AntiVirus laboratory in
academia. Prof Brunnstein is in Cape
Town for the Council meeting of IFIP at the Graduate Business School of UCT from
28 February 2 March.
