Title:               Enhancing Enterprise Architecture Models with Cost, Risk and Quality

                        Dimensions

SPEAKER & TOPIC

Graham McLeod and Inspired have, over the past ten years, developed advanced comprehensive frameworks (meta models) for enterprise architecture evaluation, planning and

management. These cover business, applications, information, technology and methods. The models are practical and supported by architecture implementation processes and best practices, as well as implemented in a purpose built knowledge management tool based on object, pattern and web technologies dubbed Archi.

In recent work, with the increased focus of organizations on costs, risk containment and quality, work has been done to add these elements to the frameworks. This has proven very effective, with the original frameworks acting as a unique integrating backbone for these new dimensions.

Graham will be discussing this work, will show elements of the models and will demonstrate how this is practiced in the tool.

Graham has been active in the IT industry for over twenty-five years and a member of the IS faculty for the past 12 years. He has produced leading research in the areas of methods, process modeling, business and IT strategy and architectures. He is the author of several books, many papers and has provided extensive consulting to leading corporates locally and internationally.

A finger lunch and refreshments will be provided.  For further information on the seminar, please call: 650-4028  or  e-mail Aayesha.Patel@uct.ac.za
