Invitation to final year students and postgrads
The Development and Alumni Department (DAD) would like to invite Commerce final year and postgrad students to the inaugural pre-alumni cocktail function as part of their campaign to build the UCT alumni network.
You will need to RSVP for the function on Tuesday 13 October at 17h15 on 3rd level, Robert Leslie Social. Email your RSVP to alumni@uct.ac.za with your student number by Friday 9 October.
The cocktail party follows the launch of the UCT AIR (Alumni in Residence) programme which was hosted by Dr Max Price in the Jameson Hall on 7 October. The intention of AIR is to ensure that UCT continues to be the most awesome university in years to come and to help give others their wings to greatness.
There are about 100 000 UCT alumni across the globe in 104 countries. DAD keeps UCT alumni around the world up to date with what’s fresh on campus and provides channels through which they can make a difference.
There are many ways to celebrate your UCT identity, including:
- Taking advantage of special events and networking opportunities
- Re-engage through further study
- Be an active ambassador for UCT
- Being an advocate for UCT
- Assist in governance
- Help to develop the university’s resources
- Get involved in graduate or student mentorship
- School vacation programmes
