- Managerial Accounting and Finance II
Introduction
Course Description
Managerial Accounting and Finance II is structured in accordance with
the education requirements of the South African Institute of Chartered
Accountants (SAICA). The entry level Chartered Accountant should be able
to provide management with information for planning and controlling
operations and for making strategic and tactical decisions. The
discipline can be divided into three main subject areas: costing,
managerial accounting and financial management. Costing is the process
of ascertaining the cost of products or services for use in managerial
and stewardship accounting. Managerial accounting utilises cost data for
the purposes of planning, control and decision making. Financial
management relates to making financing, dividend and investment

Accounting and Finance and the other disciplines covered in the
Post-Graduate Diploma in Accounting.
