Application requirements & registration process
2007/2008
Applicants
to this course should ideally have a CA (SA), LLB or equivalent acceptable
qualification
The
course is run every 18 months.
The
application forms
(excluding the directions for applicants and the information sheet) must
please be completed and returned by Monday 20 November 2006.
Please
note however, that the two personal reference forms, must be completed by your referees and
sent, by them, directly to us also to reach us by 20 November 2006.
All applications will be processed by and an initial
screening of candidates will take place shortly thereafter.
Successful candidates onto the programme will be informed both
electronically and by letter
Monday 11 December 2006.

The programme for B. Com. (Honours) in Taxation in 2007/8 will formally start
with a preliminary programme on Wednesday evenings commencing January
2007 to March 2007.
The preliminary programme will be followed by an entrance examination
in mid March 2007.
Only
candidates who pass the entrance exam will be allowed to continue with the
degree.
The Application Process
Students
that are currently registered at the University of Cape Town should fill in a
UCT Form 5. Students who wish to transfer from other universities or are not
registered at the University of Cape Town in the current year need to fill in a
UCT Form 1. University
application forms are available electronically from the University of Cape
Towns home page or may be obtained from the Commerce Faculty Office, Level 2,
Leslie Commerce Building (phone 021-650 2694/5)
Furthermore
the Taxation Section Tax
Honours Application form must be filled in and posted to the Tax secretary,
Room 509, 5th Floor, Leslie Commerce Building, UCT.
Please
note however, that two personal
