Business Accounting is a terminating first level accounting course (i.e.
The course does not lead to a second level accounting course)
Aims of the course
The
aim of the course is not to create accountants from the students that have
selected to do Business Accounting BUT to allow the students to know what
questions they should be asking the accountants. Business accounting aims
to develop an understanding of the type of information financial
statements provide to users and to develop an appreciation of the
limitations of financial accounting numbers.
