The Unit has significantly contributed to various post-graduate programmes at the University of Cape Town and the University of Witwatersrand through the provision of part-time lectures.

Haroon Bhorat, Director of the DPRU, teaches on the Certificate Programme in Industrial Relations part-time at the University of Witwatersrand and has also taught modules for the World Bank Outreach Programmes.

Training Activities The Unit has conducted the following training courses over the period 2002-2004:

A Two day Extension Course in Labour Economics and Labour Market Policy in 2002 and 2004. The course is designed for policy makers, implementers of policy and other industrial relations practitioners. It provides a comprehensive snapshot of the most critical issues confronting the labour market in South Africa. Read more here.
