The Commerce Faculty Transformation Committee

Welcome to the Commerce Faculty Transformation Committee's website. The Commerce Faculty Transformation Committee holds the following view on transformation:

Transformation is a prism through which we should see all our activities at UCT. There is a continuum in everything we can look at, from complete inequity to full equity. Transformation is about the processes that move us along that continuum in the direction of equity, with respect to issues of: respect, redress, opportunity and self-esteem. These processes operate at three levels: the individual, the interpersonal (faculties and departments), and the institution. The common understanding of transformation here is that it is not at the expense of anyone - it is an inclusive process, not exclusionary.
