Short Courses


The Institute for Monitoring and Evaluation (IME) is proud to announce its collaboration with the Department of Sociology and Social Anthropology at Stellenbosch University. This collaboration has resulted in a new short course which was introduced in 2015. The course is pitched at NQF level 7.

Our joint short course, Introduction to Programme Evaluation, will be presented from 9-13 October 2017. Details of the short course are presented below.

Course Name: Introduction to Programme Evaluation

(This course is a module in the Post-Graduate Diploma in Social Science Methods)

Date: 9-13 October 2017

Duration: 5 days (Monday – Friday)

Time: 09h00 to 13h00


Cost: R4,320 per delegate (learning material and refreshments included)

(Registered Stellenbosch University students pay R2,160)

Minimum requirements

Delegates should have a B degree (a first degree).


The short course is accredited by the University of Stellenbosch (not by the Department of Labour).

A certificate of competence (in the form of an official transcript) will be issued to delegates who have completed the two assessments successfully.Please note that no certificates of attendance will be issued.

Learning material consists of a course outline‚ course slides and in–class exercises.
