Teaching and Training :: PhD in Demography
The demography programme at UCT accepts a small number of students each
year for study towards a PhD in demography.
The course of study follows the British model of a three-year research
degree by thesis only. As a result, a strong postgraduate background in
demography is essential. Students without the requisite academic history
should consider registering for the course-work component of the
MPhil and then upgrading their Master's
research project to a PhD.
