Students produce quality IS magazines
Members of group 16, the winning group,
The EDU students recently successfully completed, as part of their Information Systems 1 course (INF1002H), an IS publication (magazine). The learning objectives were to develop research and writing skills, develop the skill of synthesising information, develop team work and project management skills, demonstrate creativity, stimulate interest in new and exciting technology, and broaden their general knowledge of IS and IT. Each of those objectives was fully met and the students produced magazines of exceptionally high quality. Topics addressed in the magazines ranged from review of Information Systems at work in business, review and comparison of two software applications, articles on electronic or mobile commerce, ERP, SCM or CRM among others.
The quality and standard of the final magazines produced by the students exceeded all expectations and were highly reflective of the time and effort that they all dedicated to the project! The top groups were selected and awarded prizes during a ceremony held two weeks ago. They proudly presented their magazines to staff members and students in a fun and exciting way! Well done to the INF1002H 2009 students!
