What is the course about?

The course purpose is to equip students with necessary practical taxation skills and advanced taxation technical knowledge to be competent practitioners. It is an intensive technical course. A substantial degree of self–study will also be required.

When are the lectures / seminars?

The course begins in February and the lectures conclude in the last week of May with the final assessment in June. The lectures / seminars are mostly Tuesday & Thursday mornings from 07:30 – 09:00. In addition‚ there are ad hoc Saturday morning sessions (from 08:30 – 12:30).

Who teaches on this course?

Lectures will be delivered by a number of staff in the section including: Mrs Tracy Johnson, Ms Tharwah Davids, and Professor Jennifer Roeleveld. Guest lecturers may also be used.

How am I assessed on this course?

There are in-course assessments:  (weighted 40%) and a final assessment (weighted 60%).
