This included teaching sociology and politics
at the University of Natal Pietermartitzburg (1983) and at the
University College of Galway and the University College of
Dublin Ireland (1985-7) . I taught economics at the Oxford
Polytechnic (1987) and was a researcher in the Development
Studies Unit of the University of Natal Durban (1988) and in the
Research Unit of the Department of Sociology, Stellenbosch
University.
