Leonard Smith
Leonard Smith joined the Centre for Higher Education Development in January, 2000. He is based in the School of Economics where he convenes and teaches a first-year course in microeconomics (ECO1110F) for commerce students who are on the faculty’s academic development programme. He also runs workshops for academic development students in first-year macroeconomics, and second-year microeconomics and macroeconomics.
He holds a B.A. degree from the University of Cape Town, an H.D.E. and B.A. (Hons) degrees in Psychology and Economics (Distinction) from the University of South Africa, and an M.Comm. in Economics (Distinction) from the University of Cape Town.
His research interests are economics education and academic development.
