Course outline: Classic topics and monetary modesl of exchange rate determination; currency market microstructure and strategic trade models; currency speculation; currency and financial crises; the sub–prime crisis 2008; risk–shaking among countries both with and without perfect financial markets. Implications for consumption‚ investment and international lending.

Assessment: Assignments‚ tests and examination count for 100%.
