Africa Day 2008

Friday the 23rd of May 2008 saw the Faculty of Commerce host an extremely successful Africa Day celebration that saw a host of colourful activities take place all around the faculty. Special thanks must go out to Terri Grant, Kevin Johnston, Ingrid Tufvesson and Irwin Brown who organised this terrific event!

We would also like to thank all the members of staff and Supercare who helped make Africa Day ’08 such a success. Many people helped set up tables, fetched and carried, donated delicious food and drink, served lunch and even danced - what a vibe!

Thanks to all the NGO’s and other entities who exhibited on the day - see picture gallery below for details! Also thank you to individuals and companies who made a further financial donation such as Careworks Africa and Dr Anthony Bradlow.

Heaps of people have brought heaps of goods, foodstuffs and clothes for the victims of Xenophobia as well as the needy.

THANK YOU!
