• Do you know? The University of Cape Town offers an accelerated programme for persons who already have a degree to become Chartered Accountants.
  

• Are you a Graduate?  Graduates in other disciplines who wish to add marketability to their hard-earned degrees can broaden their prospects through  the highly versatile  career of chartered accountancy.
  

• Only two years full-time. For those who are already working, it is possible to achieve this career change in as little as two-years full-time study.  This is then followed by a three-year training contract. After these two years of study, students are eligible to write  part 1 of the professions qualifying exam.
  

• You then specialise.  Students then complete a part-time specialist course, concurrently with their training contract.  After successfully completing part 1 of the qualifying exam, the specialist course and 18 months of their training contract, students write their final examination.
