Los Alamos National Laboratory HIV
Database
The Human Retroviruses and Aids Database collects, curates, analyzes,
and publishes genetic sequences of the human immunodeficiency virus
(HIV) and related species. Group of twelve includes molecular
biologists, computer technicians, post-docs and graduate research
assistants. We are located at Los Alamos National Laboratory in the
Theoretical Biology and Biophysics Group and are funded through an
interagency agreement between the National Institutes of Health and the
Department of Energy. Once each year we publish a compendium called
"Human Retroviruses and Aids: A Compilation and Analysis of Nucleic
Acid and Amino Acid Sequences". Also has links to other AIDS
resources. |

The Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS(UNAIDS) has made
available numerous articles ranging from AIDS research to the human
rights of those affected by the epidemic.
